Njord was founded on a simple belief: shipping can, and must, operate more efficiently.

‍Born from the experience of leading shipping companies, we saw firsthand the challenges of decarbonisation. New regulations, emerging technologies, and fragmented data made it increasingly difficult for shipowners to make informed decisions.

That experience led to the creation of Njord, bringing together technical expertise, regulatory knowledge, and digital solutions to help owners and operators navigate the transition with greater clarity and confidence.

In January 2026, Njord became part of V.Group, expanding our global reach and strengthening our ability to support customers with technology advisory, compliance services, and digital solutions.

Our name is inspired by Norse mythology. Njord, the god of the sea, represents safe passage and prosperity. It reflects our Scandinavian shipping heritage and our commitment to helping the maritime industry navigate a more efficient and sustainable future.
