Born out of a renowned Danish shipping company, Maersk Tankers, we have experienced firsthand how much potential energy efficiency technologies holds, but also how fragmented responsibilities, misaligned incentives, and resource constraints can slow down adoption.
Njord was founded to be the partner we knew the industry needed, practical, trusted, and genuinely committed to helping shipowners accelerate their decarbonisation efforts through technology.
Our name stems from Nordic mythology. Njord is the god of the sea, protector of sailors, bringer of prosperity. It reflects our Scandinavian shipping roots and the role we play today: helping owners and operators cut fuel costs, reduce emissions, and make confident, data-backed technology decisions.
